Ementa: Training in scientific writing and the international publication process, delivered entirely in English and focused on research developed within the field of Coastal and Island Environments. The course addresses the structure and writing of high-impact scientific manuscripts, including title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. It covers manuscript formatting, journal selection, preparation of effective cover letters, ethical use of sources, data and authorship, submission procedures, peer review, and strategies for responding to editorial decisions. The course also discusses literature search and updating strategies, as well as the responsible use of artificial intelligence in scientific writing, highlighting its potential to improve research quality and the risks of superficiality and plagiarism. Emphasis is placed on practical writing workshops and professional scientific communication.
